Application & pad selection

The Wool Cutting Pad is our aggressive professional option for intensive paint correction with dual-action polishers. Use it with Max Cut compound, start with a test spot and monitor heat build-up.

  1. Prepare Centre the pad and distribute a small amount of Max Cut compound evenly through the short wool fibres.
  2. Polish Start at a low speed with a dual-action polisher and work in small, overlapping passes. Control pressure and temperature.
  3. Clean and inspect Blow out the fibres thoroughly after each section. Regularly inspect the result, pad and surface temperature.

The Wool Pad delivers extremely high cut and can generate considerable heat, including between the pad and backing plate. Not recommended for rotary polishers. Refine with Perfect Finish afterwards if the paint requires it.

When is the Wool Pad the right choice?

Choose the Wool Cutting Pad for maximum cut during heavy paint correction with a dual-action polisher. The short wool fibres cut aggressively and are primarily intended for experienced users and professionals. Work small sections and regularly monitor the pad and surface temperature. Considerable heat can develop between the pad and backing plate. Blow out the pad consistently and allow it to cool when needed. A finishing step is usually required afterwards. This pad is not recommended for rotary polishers.
