Guide: approx. 30 ml for the glass surfaces of a Golf-sized car.
50 ml: Usually sufficient for the glass surfaces of a Golf-sized car.
100 ml: For larger glass areas or several applications.
Actual consumption depends on surface area, applicator and amount applied. You receive the selected bottle; accessories are sold separately.
For all real-glass surfaces on vehicles, especially windscreens and side windows. Use only on clean, intact and properly prepared surfaces.
This does not imply suitability for acrylic glass, polycarbonate or coated plastic windows. For glass with special coatings, check the glass manufacturer's approval for using this product and test compatibility first.
Work at 10–25 °C on cool glass. Clean and degrease thoroughly. For more intensive preparation, first polish the glass with Glass Corrector and Glass Pad. Spread Glass-Coat evenly using an applicator, wait 2 minutes, then buff without pressure using a clean microfibre cloth lightly dampened with water.
View application steps →Do I need to polish the glass first?
Thorough cleaning and degreasing are essential. Additional glass polishing improves preparation where bonded residues are present; it does not replace subsequent degreasing.
Does Glass-Coat replace windscreen wipers?
No. Water runoff depends on factors including airflow, glass angle and contamination. Continue to use the windscreen wipers and washer system as conditions require.
How do I care for coated glass?
Clean it regularly and keep wiper blades clean. If beading decreases, clean thoroughly first. Abrasive glass polishes can remove the coating.

Glass-Coat in everyday use
A glass coating changes how water wets the surface. Rain forms beads instead of spreading evenly across the glass. Glass-Coat helps make exterior glass easier to maintain, both in everyday driving and after washing.
Preparation matters
Oils, care-product residues and bonded deposits can interfere with even application. Choose your preparation method according to the condition of your windows. A coating does not repair scratches or stone chips.
The minimum preparation before applying the coating is thorough cleaning. Clean the glass and degrease it completely with Ultra Degreaser or Glass Clear Pro.
If the glass has dried water spots or stubborn residues, it may help to polish it first.
Application
Work on cool glass at 10–25 °C. Avoid direct sunlight and hot windows. Ensure good ventilation and wear protective equipment as specified in the safety data sheet.
Choose the appropriate preparation method. Clean, degrease and completely remove residues.
Add Glass-Coat to a Coating Sponge and spread evenly over the glass. Wait 2 minutes.
Buff using a clean microfibre cloth lightly dampened with water. Check that the surface is streak-free.
Use a lightly damp cloth for buffing. Lightly dampen with water; do not soak it. Finish by checking for streaks and residues from different angles.
