A thorough wash starts with the right products.

What do I need for a hand wash?

Start with a suitable car shampoo, a clean wash mitt and a wash bucket. Have a suitable drying towel ready too. Always follow the dilution ratios and application instructions on each product.

In what order should I wash my car?

Work in the shade on cool surfaces. Clean wheels and tyres first, rinse off loose dirt thoroughly, then wash the paintwork from top to bottom. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Keep wheel accessories separate from those used on paintwork.

Do I need to clay my car every time?

No. Clay is for bonded contamination that remains after a normal wash. Use it only when needed, with suitable lubrication and light pressure. Depending on the paintwork and contamination, polishing may be needed afterwards.
