It is suitable when you want to tackle wiper marks, mineral deposits or suitable surface scratches and then coat the cleaned windows. The polish corrects or cleans the surface; the coating is then applied to the prepared glass.

Kit contents and pad sizes

Included are 100 ml Glass Corrector glass polish, two glass polishing pads in the selected size (30, 50, 80 or 125 mm), 50 ml Glass Coat PRO, an applicator block and an application cloth. You also need a suitable polishing machine with a matching backing plate, glass cleaner or degreaser and clean microfibre cloths for wiping off residue.

Correcting glass scratches requires a rotary polisher

A rotary polisher is required for scratch correction. With a dual-action polisher, the felt pads are used for intensive glass cleaning, for example to remove water spots. Work only on real glass and create a test area first. Polish in small areas, monitor heat build-up and remove residue. Deeper scratches that can be felt with a fingernail can often only be improved to a limited extent. Do not use on acrylic glass, polycarbonate, films, displays or coated interior surfaces; check specialist glazing beforehand.

Coat the glass after polishing

Remove all polish residue, then clean and degrease the glass as instructed, leaving it free from residue. Apply Glass Coat PRO evenly using the block and application cloth. After approximately two minutes, a grey haze forms; remove it with a slightly damp microfibre cloth. Follow the product instructions and take ambient conditions into account. Indicative consumption is approximately 30 ml for the glazing of a Golf-sized vehicle; vehicle size and technique affect the amount required.

Safety information for Glass Corrector

The treated article contains biocidal products used as preservatives.
